A Behind-the-Scenes Preview of Scene’s Holiday Fashion Section

I spent the afternoon switching out my wardrobe from summer to fall, packing away the colorful, breezy tops and lightweight skirts and replacing them with sweaters, long sleeved dresses and jackets.

What got me in the mood for the closet clean-up was our shoot last week for the next issue of Scene.

A straight-off-the-fall-runway Dries Van Noten dress, a sinuous Burberry tux and a gorgeously slinky Donna Karan dress were pulled for the section, shot by Paul Ferradas at the Valencia Hotel, Santana Row.
Here, a little peek at what you’ll see when the magazine is published early next month.

Sofia di Leva, an intern from Bloomingdale's in Palo Alto, and Becky Hall, Scene's designer, prepare shoes for the shoot by taping the soles with painter's tape to prevent scuffing.
