Fresh-picked facials

Since the summer season is fleeting, take advantage of fresh fruits at the local market by popping them in the blender to make a facial mask. Pureed strawberries soften and cleanse with natural enzymes, lime mattifies oily skin, melon and banana calm and soothe, and pineapple boosts exfoliation. The smoother the consistency of your concoction, the easier it will be to apply. Try doing a patch test on the inside of your wrist before leaving a fruit mask on for the standard 20 minutes. Vegetables are actually a less potent alternative for sensitive skin. For instance, raw tomatoes contain anti-aging antioxidants. Chilled yogurt works to restore your skin’s PH balance and soothe a painful sunburn. Add 1/4 tablespoon of honey to one tablespoon of all-natural, plain yogurt for extra hydration.
